The World of Warcraft servers are buzzing with activity as Plunderstorm officially launches, offering players a thrilling new game mode filled with piratical rewards. By embarking on the Renown track journey, World of Warcraft enthusiasts can unlock mounts, minions, titles, transmogs, and the coveted Trader’s Tender currency.
Plunderstorm was recently unveiled as the centerpiece of Patch 10.2.6, introducing a standalone battle royale experience where players battle against 59 others in a quest to plunder the Arathi Highlands. This limited-time event promises six weeks of action-packed gameplay and exclusive rewards for those brave enough to venture into the fray.
As the World of Warcraft servers come online after maintenance, adventurers can dive headfirst into the Plunderstorm mode and begin their quest for riches. Progressing through the 40 levels of the Keg Leg’s Crew Renown track unlocks a treasure trove of exclusive cosmetics. From mounts and minions to transmog ensembles and cosmetic weapons, there’s something for everyone to plunder. Additionally, players can earn a special tabard, a pirate skin for their Pepe companion, titles, a toy, and 750 Trader’s Tender to spend at the Trading Post.
To increase their Renown level with Keg Leg’s Crew, players must earn reputation by participating in matches, each lasting around 8–10 minutes. The longer players survive, the more reputation they accumulate towards their Renown track. With matches rewarding between 500 and 1000 reputation each, dedicated players can expect to level up every few matches. While reaching Renown 40 and unlocking all rewards may require over 100 games, the possibility of event extensions or future returns offers hope to eager adventurers.
Beyond the Plunderstorm rewards, World of Warcraft enthusiasts can look forward to additional goodies through an upcoming Twitch Drop campaign. By tuning in to WoW streamers on Twitch for four hours between March 22 and April 5, fans can earn the Fathom pet, a purple variant of the Glamrock pet awarded at Renown 30.
For those preferring traditional gameplay, Patch 10.2.6 introduces new meta achievements to pursue. Completing these milestones involves tackling various tasks in the latest expansion, offering new mounts and Dragonriding customizations as rewards. With Taivan the bakar awaiting completion of all 130 objectives for the ultimate A World Awoken achievement, there’s plenty of excitement to be had for adventurers of all stripes in the World of Warcraft universe.
