Iconic show host wants to have his own skin in Fortnite!

Fortnite is renowned for its diverse crossover content, drawing from various corners of pop culture. Recently, there’s been an unexpected request to join the game: Dr. Phil. The well-known talk show host, recognized by his iconic mustache, made a short video expressing his interest in becoming a Fortnite character, drawing parallels to other celebrities.

In the latest season, Chapter 5 Season 2, titled “Myths & Mortals,”
Epic Games introduces a Greek mythology theme, with locations such as Mount Olympus and The Underworld. Players can wield the power of the Gods with new items like the Thunderbolt of Zeus and Wings of Icarus. Alongside the season launch, the first crossover skin was revealed,
featuring Korra from The Legend of Korra. Now, Dr. Phil wants to be part of the action.

Dr. Phil took to TikTok to share his desire for a Fortnite character. In a brief 20-second video, he humorously questions the creators about what he needs to do to earn his own character, comparing himself to Eminem, who already has three Fortnite skins. Despite admitting he might move more like Garfield than a sleek panther, he still believes he deserves a skin.

Surprisingly, Fortnite fans are embracing Dr. Phil’s proposal, with the video gaining nearly half a million likes and thousands of comments urging Fortnite to make it happen. While crossover skins typically feature fictional characters, Fortnite’s Icon Series includes real-world personalities like streamers, athletes, and musicians. Lady Gaga recently joined this series with her own Fortnite skin.

Although it might seem unexpected to link Dr. Phil with gaming and internet culture, he has previously engaged with these realms, such as hosting Meme Review with PewDiePie a few years back. While it’s uncertain if Fortnite developers will heed Dr. Phil’s plea, the online community has shown its ability to influence decisions in the past, so nothing is impossible – especially in Fortnite.
