Special west event and more comes in The Finals latest update!

The latest update, 1.10, for The Finals brings not only quality of life improvements and bug fixes but also exciting new content, including the Smoking Guns limited-time mode and a community challenge.
Since its launch in December at The Game Awards, The Finals has been evolving consistently, with updates aimed at balancing abilities,
fixing issues, and adding fresh experiences.

In January, Embark Studios introduced the first limited-time mode, Solo Bank It. Recent updates have brought even more uniqueness with events like Steal the Spotlight and Valentine’s Day-inspired challenges. However, not all events have resonated with players; the Dead Go Boom event was removed in February due to frustrations, particularly among melee-specific players. With this update, players have a new in-game event to enjoy, complete with its own set of rewards.

The standout addition in this patch is the Smoking Guns event,
which transforms the Monaco map into a scene reminiscent of the Old American West. Players compete in a Single Round Tournament where four teams vie to bank the most money first. This event includes contracts and rewards, with the High Noon Noir outfit up for grabs for those who complete all challenges.

Update 1.10 also introduces a community event, challenging players to cash out a combined $250 billion within seven days. If successful, players will receive a mystery reward, with some lucky ones even snagging a t-shirt.
Full details are available on Embark’s official Discord server.

In addition to new content, the update addresses various fixes and quality of life updates, touching on UI improvements, performance enhancements,
and gameplay tweaks. These adjustments aim to refine the player experience and keep the game engaging.

Despite experiencing a decline in player count since its shadowdrop at The Game Awards 2023, The Finals continues to strive for player engagement through regular updates and limited-time events. The introduction of the community challenge serves not only to retain current players but also to entice inactive ones to return.

The patch notes for Update 1.10 include fixes to gameplay issues, UI enhancements, map updates, animation improvements, security updates, video optimizations, and performance tweaks. However, there are also known issues listed, such as compatibility problems with certain anti-virus software and bugs related to specific skins and map elements.

Embark Studios remains committed to refining and expanding The Finals experience, ensuring that players have an enjoyable and immersive gaming journey.
