The latest update for Lords of the Fallen, version 1.1.598, is now available for download. This update brings significant balancing changes to the PvP multiplayer aspect of the game, along with various bug fixes, stability improvements, and UI tweaks.
Lords of the Fallen, the sequel to CI Games’ 2014 ARPG, received mixed reviews upon its release in October 2023. Since then, the game has undergone over two dozen patches, many of which focused on refining multiplayer balancing and addressing minor issues, with some updates also adding new content.
Patch 1.1.598 marks the 30th update for Lords of the Fallen, introducing nearly thirty changes aimed at enhancing the PvP experience. One of the key adjustments is a reduction in the PvP damage multiplier from 0.5 to 0.25, extending match durations to align with optimal combat strategies, according to developer Hexworks.
Additionally, stab PvP damage multipliers have been increased across all weapons except Ultra Greatswords, which received a 25% boost.
This change aims to promote stab attacks as a more significant part of PvP gameplay. Conversely, Harrower Dervla’s Crossbow has undergone a 66% damage reduction in PvP to encourage diversified playstyles.
The patch also includes PvP-exclusive rebalancing of spells and a 25% reduction in the status effect buildup multiplier. In terms of general improvements, several bug fixes have been implemented, such as resolving issues with boss encounters and optimizing performance in specific areas like Skyrest Bridge and the Sundered Monarch fight.
Noteworthy additions in this update include optimizations for AMD hardware stability, improvements to the Pieta boss fight, and fixes for environment-related glitches. The multiplayer experience has also been refined, addressing matchmaking issues and resolving various gameplay inconsistencies.
Players can expect a more refined and balanced PvP experience with the 1.1.598 update, alongside a smoother overall gameplay experience and a reduced number of bugs. Hexworks plans to continue supporting Lords of the Fallen with future updates, further enhancing the game’s content and performance.
