15 classes coming to action RPG set to be released in February!

The gears of game development keep turning, and the action RPG Last Epoch is gearing up for its release on February 21, 2024. Initially launched in 2019, Last Epoch caters to isometric action RPG enthusiasts, created by and for those who relish a plethora of customizable skills and loot, along with hordes of adversaries to conquer.

The forthcoming 1.0 release will mark the completion of the game, introducing the Warlock and Falconer classes. It will also feature two Item Factions, offering players the option to collect loot independently or engage in a broader marketplace to trade gear with others. Following the release, the Eleventh Hour team plans to roll out updates every few months, referred to as “Cycles,” incorporating end-game content, skills, unique items, gameplay systems, quality-of-life features, and more.

Back in 2019, PC Gamer praised Last Epoch as a fantastic new action RPG, highlighting its skill system as a brilliant evolution of Path of Exile’s intricate web of upgrades and Diablo 3’s rune modifications. In 2023, Last Epoch showcased four years of updates at Gamescom, unveiling the runemaster class among its 15 classes after successfully launching multiplayer. Eleventh Hour CEO Judd Cobler emphasized the complexity of creating ARPG-style multiplayer, describing it as a persistent, drop-in, drop-out experience, and noted that the multiplayer launch had been exceptionally successful.

Last Epoch, available on Steam for $35, is set to release its 1.0 version on February 21, 2024. Early buyers will receive an exclusive cosmetic pet as a bonus. Developed by Eleventh Hour, a team of game developers who connected on the r/gamedev subreddit in 2017 with the goal of creating the perfect ARPG, Last Epoch was Kickstarted in 2018, entered Steam Early Access in 2019, and has since surpassed 800,000 copies sold.
