A new leak from Genshin Impact hints at a duo of characters slated to join the game with the Version 4.7 update, including the highly anticipated release of Clorinde.
As the HoYoverse RPG enters the midpoint of its Fontaine cycle, it has already introduced numerous new characters with its latest locale.
Fontaine has welcomed several powerful additions to Genshin Impact’s roster, including Furina, Neuvillette, and Chiori, among others.
Now, leaks suggest another long-teased character will soon make her debut.
The introduction of Fontaine featured several characters through its main story who would eventually become playable in Genshin Impact.
Characters like Charlotte, Navia, and Lyney play significant roles in the game’s newest story content, alongside the recently confirmed Arlecchino as the newest Fatui Harbinger. The annual Lantern Rite also introduced fans to a pair of new playable characters with the debut of Xianyun and Gaming in Version 4.4. Now, the playable debut of Champion Duelist Clorinde is being hinted at for an upcoming update.
A recent leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker hxg_diluc via leaker Tieba Uncle K reveals two new characters coming with Genshin Impact’s Version 4.7. According to the post, the Version 4.7 update will introduce two new characters to Genshin Impact’s roster: Clorinde and Sethos. Clorinde is heavily speculated to debut as a five-star character, while recent leaks suggest Sethos will be a new four-star character. Clorinde will be the final roster addition from the main cast of Fontaine’s Archon Quest.
While HoYoverse has not shared official details about Clorinde’s rumored release, leaks have provided insight into her potential playstyle.
Clorinde is rumored to debut as a DPS unit focused on Genshin Impact’s Overload elemental reaction, combining the Pyro and Electro elements. Clorinde wouldn’t be Fontaine’s first character to utilize this reaction,
with Version 4.3 four-star character Chevreuse also utilizing it. Not much is known about Sethos, with few leaks revealing the character’s identity or role in Genshin Impact.
Clorinde’s addition in the Version 4.7 update comes as leaks begin to surface about Genshin Impact’s next region. The game’s sixth playable region, Natlan, is expected to debut later this year as a volcanic nation themed around the Pyro element. Leaks have also started to share details about some of the first characters from the upcoming region, with new Natlan character Xbalanque recently leaked as using Genshin Impact’s “boy” model. Genshin Impact promises plenty of excitement for fans with multiple characters set to release ahead of the game’s next region.
