Inner Beast Collection Event changes in Apex Legends!

Exciting news for Apex Legends fans! Respawn Entertainment has brought back The Hunt as a limited-time mode (LTM) for the remainder of the Inner Beast Collection Event. This change marks a significant shift from its previous iteration as a Takeover, offering players more flexibility in their gameplay experience.

As seasoned Apex Legends players know, Collection Events are a staple of the game, bringing with them a host of new cosmetics and exciting gameplay twists. The Inner Beast Collection Event introduced The Hunt, a mode that added a bounty system to the traditional battle royale formula. While some LTMs have been well-received by the community, The Hunt faced criticism for its unconventional gameplay mechanics.

In response to player feedback, Respawn Entertainment made a decisive move halfway through the event, transitioning The Hunt from a Takeover to its own dedicated LTM playlist. This adjustment allows players who prefer the standard Trios and Duos matches to enjoy the classic Apex Legends experience without the event-themed mode interfering.

The shift to an LTM format comes as welcome news to players who found The Hunt frustrating. Many in the community voiced concerns about the increased chaos and rapid pace of matches, attributing these issues to the new Prey squad dynamic. With The Hunt now available as a separate LTM, players have the freedom to choose their preferred gameplay style.

While the Inner Beast Collection Event continues until March 19, players can still enjoy the limited-time cosmetics introduced by Respawn Entertainment. From character skins for beloved legends like Bloodhound, Rampart, and Caustic to Octane’s Prototype Butterfly Knife heirloom variant, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. However, it’s worth noting that some players have expressed disappointment with the event skins, criticizing them as uninspired recolors of existing designs.

Despite the mixed reception to certain aspects of the event, Respawn Entertainment remains committed to addressing player concerns. Recent adjustments to the Wingman and various legends demonstrate the developers’ dedication to improving the game based on community feedback. As Season 20 progresses, players can look forward to more exciting events and updates, with Respawn likely to continue incorporating player input into their future content plans.
