World of Warcraft update: No more gold-heavy achievements!

In a recent update, World of Warcraft made a big change by removing two achievements tied to the Warband Bank in The War Within expansion.

The achievements, *Learning to Share* and *So Much Sharing*, are no longer in the game. This means players who aim for 100% completion can breathe easier without having to spend a whopping 3,000,000 gold to get all the achievements from this new expansion.

The Pre-Expansion Update for The War Within kicked off on July 23, but some features didn’t go live until July 30. That’s when World of Warcraft finally fixed issues with the Warband Bank, tackled bugs from the earlier update, and launched the Radiant Echoes Pre-Patch world event.

In addition to fixing bugs, World of Warcraft made another notable change. Although the Warbands feature is fully functional now, the achievements *Learning to Share* and *So Much Sharing* have been removed. *Learning to Share* was awarded for purchasing the first Warband Bank tab, while *So Much Sharing* required buying all five tabs. With these achievements gone, there’s no extra reward for buying every tab besides the additional storage space.

To give you an idea of the cost, the first Warband Bank tab costs 1,000 gold, but each subsequent tab gets significantly more expensive. The final tab alone costs 2,500,000 gold, adding up to a total of 3,126,000 gold to buy all five tabs. Since there were no special rewards like titles or mounts for completing *So Much Sharing*, it felt as frustrating as the *Support Your Local Artisans* achievement from WoW’s Love Is In The Air event, which initially required players to spend 70,000 gold before it was reduced to 50,000.

Fans are generally thrilled with this change. While *Learning to Share* was an easy win, the cost for *So Much Sharing* was too high for many players. Now, completionists don’t need to worry about draining their gold reserves to achieve 100% completion in the new expansion.

But don’t worry—there’s still a way to get a boost for your Warband Bank. If you reach max level with five characters of different classes, you can earn the *Quintessential Quintet* achievement. This achievement reduces the cooldown of the Warband Bank Distance Inhibitor spell, allowing you to access the storage area for 10 minutes every hour instead of just once an hour.
