At the conclusion of the January 2024 State of Play, Sony announced a special presentation dedicated to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth scheduled for February 6. Sony has a history of hosting State of Play events centered around specific games, including Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part II, and Horizon: Forbidden West.

This presentation is expected to offer an in-depth exploration of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, likely providing the last sneak peek before reviews surface and the game becomes available to the public on February 29. Rebirth is the second installment in Square Enix’s trilogy, reimagining the beloved 1997 JRPG Final Fantasy VII.

In Rebirth, players will follow Cloud and his friends beyond the confines of Midgar as they embark on a journey into the wider world.

Confirmed locations such as the Mythril Mine and Kalm, along with the debut of party members Vincent and Cait Sith, promise an exciting expansion of the Final Fantasy VII universe.
