Classic PlayStation titles now sold individually outside PS Plus!

PlayStation fans, rejoice! Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and Tekken 6, previously exclusive to the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus, are now available for individual purchase, opening up access to these beloved classics.

Sony regularly updates its gaming catalog, and in October 2023, these iconic titles joined the PS Plus Premium lineup. Until now, they were solely accessible through this premium subscription tier, but Sony has shifted gears, making both games purchasable through the PlayStation Store.

Exciting news for gamers on PS5 and PS4—you can now snag Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny individually at $9.99 each. Previously limited to PS Plus Premium, these PSP versions are now accessible to a wider audience, allowing more players to enjoy these fantastic fighting games.

However, it seems trophies haven’t been integrated into these classic titles yet. While Ape Escape Academy and Kurushi Final: Mental Blocks, added in the same October batch, offered trophy support, it’s not a universal feature for all retro games in PS Plus Premium.

Speaking of PlayStation Plus tiers, subscribers in the Premium tier gain access to Extra and Essential benefits as well. Sony recently unveiled its December 2023 lineup, promising 19 games for Extra and Premium members. Grand Theft Auto 5, Metal: Hellsinger, Mega Man 11, Salt and Sacrifice, and more await Extra members, while Premium subscribers can also enjoy Mega Man Legacy Collection and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, among others.

As we anticipate these new arrivals on December 19, it remains to be seen if these classic games will receive trophy support upon their launch in the PS Plus Premium tier.
