Another 3 games are leaving PS Plus in April!

Exciting news and a bit of a heads-up for our gaming community! It seems like a few titles, including Warriors All-Stars, will be bidding farewell to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus in the coming month. While the exact departure date is yet to be officially confirmed, signs point towards a mid-April exit, shaking up the gaming landscape for subscribers.

Sony’s subscription service is no stranger to catalog rotations, typically happening on the third Tuesday of each month. The most recent shift occurred on February 20, bringing in 13 new games to PS Plus Extra and Premium while bidding adieu to 10 others. Usually, Sony communicates these changes well in advance, but Koei Tecmo has taken the lead this time, spilling the beans on the departure of three games: Warriors All-Stars, Nights of Azure, and Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon.

While these titles didn’t make it onto Sony’s previously shared list of games leaving in March 2024, it’s unlikely they’ll make an exit during the next catalog rotation on March 19. Instead, April 16 seems to be the more plausible date for their departure, given the typical schedule. We’ll know for sure in a matter of hours, as the next wave of PS Plus catalog changes is anticipated to be announced on March 13.

Koei Tecmo’s reveal has given us a sneak peek into the upcoming changes, and with three titles already disclosed, we can expect Sony to unveil a handful more departures tomorrow. Fear not, as catalog rotations tend to be a net positive for PlayStation Plus, introducing around a dozen new games each month. For instance, in January 2024, PS Plus Extra and Premium gained 14 new games, offsetting the loss of nine others.

Stay tuned, as after the anticipated announcement of the next catalog rotation, Sony is likely to reveal the free PS Plus games for April on March 27, a tradition that occurs on the last Wednesday of every month. In the meantime, if you haven’t already claimed the free PS Plus games for March 2024, you have until April 1 to do so. Get ready for a gaming shake-up, and happy playing!
