Remnant 2 receives game-improving hotfix

The popular Soulslike RPG, Remnant 2, has just received a new hotfix aimed at addressing several bugs impacting gameplay and other aspects of the title. This update also tackles issues related to certain in-game gear and items, enhancing the overall gaming experience for players.

Developer Gunfire Games’ latest update for Remnant 2 aims to address player concerns by implementing a series of bug fixes. Notably, this marks the first patch release since the game’s major crossplay update on February 29.

In an official blog announcement, the developers shared a comprehensive list of bug fixes, addressing issues ranging from problematic archetypes to glitchy weapons. Among the fixes, players will find improvements to performance, such as the resolution of frame stuttering in multiplayer matches when using specific weapons. Additionally, the update resolves UI flickering problems caused by the FSR Frame Generation feature. Moreover, players utilizing the Handler archetype will no longer encounter issues with their dog companion, Very Good Boy, causing infinite bleed on enemies.

Notable fixes include addressing issues with the Corrupted Savior gun, ensuring its mod power drains correctly, and resolving faults with the Corrupted Nebula handgun’s Corroded status, Damage Over Time, and Nano-Bots. Furthermore, accuracy problems with the Impact Cannon at shorter ranges have been rectified, along with patches for mutators like Tainted Blade and Shielded Strike. The update also includes fixes for incorrect UI elements.

While its predecessor, Remnant: From the Ashes, boasted quality gameplay but failed to garner the popularity it deserved, its sequel has proven to be a massive success. Remnant 2 surpassed its predecessor upon release, selling over a million copies in its first week and boasting a concurrent player count on Steam nearly double that of the original.

With the recent addition of crossplay functionality, Remnant 2 has further solidified its position in the gaming community and kicked off the year with a bang. The game’s strong performance suggests that its success is likely to continue, especially with the release of its final two DLCs scheduled for this year. Given the positive reception of The Awakened King DLC last year, it’s anticipated that the upcoming DLCs will significantly contribute to Remnant 2’s ongoing triumph.
