Next week, Helldivers 2 introduces a new premium warbond, Democratic Detonation, packed with explosive content. According to the PlayStation Blog, this update includes four new guns, a grenade,
a booster, and three armor sets: light, medium, and heavy.
The weapons lineup features the BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle, a reliable automatic armor-penetrating assault rifle, the R-36 Eruptor Rifle, firing jet-assisted shells that explode on impact, the CB-9 Exploding Crossbow,
a semi-automatic crossbow with explosive bolts, and the GP-31 Grenade Pistol, capable of firing one grenade per reload. Additionally, the G-123 Thermite Grenade provides a sticky grenade option that ignites upon impact.
While the specific perks of the new armor sets remain undisclosed, speculation suggests they may offer resistance to explosions, akin to the Cutting Edge perk’s electrical damage negation. The anticipation of safely hurling grenades without self-harm is a shared sentiment among players.
The Adjudicator Rifle stands out as a highlight, offering a fresh platform distinct from existing weaponry. Its design combines elements reminiscent of real-life M4 rifles and futuristic Mass Effect weaponry.
Democratic Detonation launches on Thursday, April 11, marking the second post-release warbond announcement within a week of its rollout.
Helldivers 2 appears to be establishing a monthly premium update schedule, demonstrating a rapid update cadence amid the game’s ongoing developments.
Existing premium warbonds will remain accessible even after the release of Democratic Detonation, alleviating any rush to complete them before the update.
