In a recent post on social media, The Coalition’s level designer, Benjamin Huyghe, hinted that 2024 might bring news about the future of the Gears of War series. While Huyghe didn’t provide specific details, he left fans with a cryptic message, saying he’d see them in 2024 and included a Gears of War-related hashtag. Many Gears enthusiasts interpreted this as a subtle clue that news about Gears of War 6 could be on the horizon in 2024.

The Coalition has been quite secretive about its projects in recent years. The studio has confirmed that its upcoming game will be developed using Unreal Engine 5, which aligns with its expertise in the engine.

Earlier reports suggested that The Coalition was working on a non-Gears-related project as a way to explore Unreal Engine 5, but recent information indicates that the studio is now fully dedicated to a new Gears of War game.
