Rocksteady has generously given some in-game currency to players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as a token of appreciation for their patience during server downtime. For those who’ve been eagerly anticipating the early access release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, there’s a chance you’ll discover some extra currency in your account when you log in.
The journey to the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has faced its share of delays. Despite critiques of the gearing system and live-service elements, many DC fans were simply excited about the prospect of exploring Metropolis with the four playable characters. With the game set to officially launch on February 2, those with early access are already immersed in the world of Rocksteady’s latest creation. However,
an unexpected server outage resulted in some players missing out on valuable gameplay hours. To make up for this inconvenience,
Rocksteady has graciously rewarded this segment of the community with some Luthor Coins.
Players who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, priced at $100 and offering additional perks, enjoy a 72-hour head start in the game. Despite early access being underway,
some players encountered a glitch that erroneously indicated they had already completed the game upon their initial log-in. Due to the always-online requirement, Rocksteady had to temporarily take down the servers to address the issue, leaving many players without access for over six hours. Noting that a portion of Deluxe Edition buyers specifically sought early access, Rocksteady has gifted 2,000 Luthor Coins to those inconvenienced.
These 2,000 Luthor Coins hold a $20 value and present early-access players with opportunities to acquire in-game cosmetics. Deluxe and Legendary skin variants for Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark are priced at 2,000 Coins, while emotes range up to 500, and various bundles are available at different price points. The outfits also offer customization options, allowing players to mix and match torso,
head, and color swatches. The regions most impacted by the server outage were Australia and New Zealand.
It’s worth noting that many players in North America might not have experienced the outage, so not everyone may receive the 2,000 Luthor Coins. However, those with the Deluxe Edition still have multiple sets of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League outfits to customize their characters. While Rocksteady has offered complimentary Luthor Coins to those affected by this particular outage, it’s essential to keep in mind that future server issues may not necessarily result in additional in-game credits.
