During a recent showcase hosted by director Katsura Hashino, fans received a sneak peek into the world of Metaphor, which is slated for release on October 11, just in time for the holiday season.

The showcase, led by Hashino, provided a comprehensive overview of the gameplay, music, and thematic elements of Metaphor. While bearing some resemblance to the beloved Persona series, Metaphor charts its own path as a high-concept fantasy adventure. Departing from the familiar setting of a Japanese high school, Metaphor takes players on a fantastical journey, blending turn-based combat and the passage of time into a captivating narrative.

Although it’s challenging to encapsulate the essence of Metaphor in words, the accompanying trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into this imaginative world. With the creative prowess of Hashino, composer Shoji Meguro,
