Competition between Microsoft and Sony nearing end after 20 years?

Looks like Microsoft might be sharing its Xbox games with PlayStation soon, which could mean the end of the fierce console wars we’ve seen for ages. Phil Spencer from Xbox hasn’t denied the rumors, and we might get some answers next week.

Last week, some clever folks found clues suggesting that Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush could be coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch soon. And then, The Verge reported that Bethesda’s Indiana Jones game will also hit PS5, after a brief time as an Xbox exclusive.

Now, Hi-Fi Rush heading to Nintendo Switch isn’t a big deal since Microsoft has already shared games there. But Xbox and PlayStation making nice? That’s a big change considering they’ve been rivals for ages! These days, it seems like the console showdown is between them,
with Nintendo just doing its own thing on the side.

But wait, there’s more! Rumors are swirling that Starfield, one of Microsoft’s big games, might also land on PS5. And there’s talk about Sea of Thieves sailing over to PS5 too. It looks like Microsoft is opening up its game library to everyone, making that pricey Xbox console seem less appealing.

Now, Microsoft isn’t throwing in the towel just yet. With their recent big acquisition, they’re still holding some cards. Plus, they’ve promised to keep bringing Call of Duty games to PlayStation.

But if Microsoft starts sharing its games with PlayStation, it’s a bold move. Some hardcore Xbox fans might feel a bit bummed about it. Phil Spencer even tweeted about it, promising to share more details about Xbox’s future next week.
