Apex Legends streamers warned after NA Finals hacks!

The Apex Legends Global Series is currently in the midst of regional finals, but the North America finals faced a delay following hacks during matches involving two players. Initially, Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose from DarkZero experienced the ability to see through walls, while Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen from TSM encountered an aimbot.

Genburten’s hack occurred during the third match of the day. A clip on Twitch captured the moment when the words “Apex hacking global series by Destroyer2009 & R4ndom” appeared repeatedly in chat, signaling the use of cheats. “I can see everyone!” he exclaimed before exiting the match.

Immediately after, ImperialHal faced a similar situation. “I have aimbot right now!” he exclaimed, followed by frustration as he couldn’t shoot properly.
The match was eventually abandoned due to these hacks.

The Anti-Cheat Police Department volunteers issued a public service announcement (PSA) addressing the exploitation of an RCE exploit in Apex Legends. They advised against playing any games protected by EAC or any EA titles.

Players participating in the tournament were advised to take precautionary steps. Recommendations included changing Discord passwords,
securing emails, enabling MFA for all accounts, and performing a clean OS reinstall to avoid potential damage from malicious software.

Due to the compromised competitive integrity, the remaining series has been postponed. The official Twitter account announced this delay and promised to provide further updates soon.
