The super cool horror game Until Dawn from Supermassive Games is getting a movie adaptation, and it’s going to be directed by the amazing David F. Sandberg, the guy behind Shazam! and Annabelle: Creation. How awesome is that?
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gary Dauberman, the genius behind It, Annabelle, and The Nun, is giving the script a makeover. The original script was crafted by Blair Butler, the talent behind The Invitation. And get this – it’s going to be an R-rated horror movie! Brace yourselves for some serious thrills. Now, you might remember Until Dawn had a stellar cast including Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, and Jordan Fisher. The big question is, will they be making a comeback for the movie? We’re on the edge of our seats waiting to find out!
David F. Sandberg, the director extraordinaire, is not new to the horror scene. Before Shazam! and all that superhero stuff, he was rocking the horror world with Closet Space and Lights Out. Yep, Lights Out started as a short film, and now it’s a full-blown horror movie. Cool, right?
And hey, this Until Dawn movie is just one of the many PlayStation Production projects coming our way. We’ve got a Gran Turismo movie, The Last of Us TV series (Season 2 is dropping next year!), and even a Twisted Metal show on Peacock. It’s like video games are taking over our screens, and we are totally here for it! Speaking of video games turning into movies and TV shows, Halo: The Series is promising some epic fall of Reach storyline in Season 2, premiering next month. So much excitement!
So, grab your popcorn, turn off the lights, and get ready for some heart-pounding horror because Until Dawn is hitting the big screen, and it’s going to be epic!
