Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is swinging into action and it’s creating quite the buzz! In just a few days, this game will be out exclusively for PlayStation, and we can hardly contain our excitement!

Insomniac Games, the awesome team behind Spider-Man 2, has been dropping teasers to get us even more pumped. They’ve given us a sneak peek at some classic Spidey villains like the Lizard, Kraven the Hunter, and Venom. Plus, there are some cool new suits for Peter and Miles that you can collect in the game.

But hold on, Insomniac Games isn’t new to the scene. They’ve been creating fantastic games for nearly three decades! They’ve tackled all sorts of genres, from the action-packed Sunset Overdrive to the cute platformers like Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet and Clank. Oh, and don’t forget their creepy VR game, Edge of Nowhere. Quite the diverse lineup, right?

Their first Spider-Man game was a massive hit and became Sony’s fastest-selling game. Even though it didn’t quite hit the 90 mark on Metacritic, it still rocked our Spidey-loving world.

Now, the sequel, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has its review embargo lifted, and guess what? It scored a solid 91 on Metacritic! That puts it on par with Spyro: Year of the Dragon and Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, Insomniac’s other top-rated games. Those two games have been around for a while and are still legendary.

If you’re a fan of Spyro, you might be thrilled to know that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy recently hit 10 million units sold. And Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart wowed us as one of the PS5’s next-gen gems when it launched.

What’s even cooler is that Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, and Spider-Man 2 all share the same Metacritic score. Pretty neat, right? We can’t say for sure yet, but reviews are already calling Spider-Man 2 the “best entry in the Insomniac’s Spider-Man game universe.” So, it looks like we’re in for an amazing time!

Mark your calendars, because Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings onto PS5 on October 20. Get ready for some web-slinging fun!
