A Reddit post shared by user Dajabman showcased screenshots comparing Johnny Cage’s default skin to the new seasonal one, highlighting a minimal color scheme change. Named “Flesh Forward,” this outfit is priced at 4,000 Seasonal Kredits, which some found too high for what seemed like a lazy recolor.

What makes this disappointing is the lack of diversity compared to Johnny Cage’s other skins in Mortal Kombat 1, where visual variations are more pronounced. For instance, his unique Jean-Claude Van Damme skin stands out as a one-of-a-kind addition.

Despite this letdown, Mortal Kombat 1’s Season of the Blood Moon introduces a range of diverse alternate outfits, including undead-inspired costumes that better fit the current theme. While the Johnny Cage skin falls short, the majority of unlockables for this season offer more creative and interesting options.
