Guess what? The Pokémon Company is giving us another shot at that elusive custom Pikachu card! You might remember the chaos from September 28 when they teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The collaboration was amazing – lessons about the famous artist and pocket monsters reimagined in Van Gogh’s style. But, oh boy, the merch frenzy! Scalpers went wild, grabbing exclusive items to sell at crazy prices.

One card stole the show: Pikachu in a cool gray felt hat. It was going for hundreds of dollars online! Everything from the Van Gogh collection vanished within a day, leaving so many of us feeling bummed out. But here’s the good news: they’re bringing back that infamous Pikachu card, and this time, you don’t have to fly to Amsterdam!

The company spilled the beans on Twitter, saying, “Fans shopping at Pokémon Center will soon receive another opportunity to obtain the ‘Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat’ promo card.” And here’s the deal: you’ll get one card per order, and you’ll need to spend at least $30 on Pokémon Trading Card Game goodies. No word yet on the plushies and postcards, though.

Keep an eye on the Pokémon Center website because this exclusive card is dropping “soon.” And get this, they’re offering it at a much lower price, which should put an end to those sky-high resale prices. Now, you can find the Pikachu card on resale sites like eBay for as low as $20 – a huge drop from the $300 folks were shelling out just two weeks ago. But fair warning, the other promo items are still a bit steep in some corners of the internet.

Happy card hunting, and may the Pikachu odds be ever in your favor
