Death Stranding 2’s villain is giving major The Crow vibes!

If you caught the latest Death Stranding 2 trailer that dropped this week, you’re probably as psyched as we are about Higgs making a jaw-dropping comeback. Yes, he might have “died” in the first game, but guess what? He’s back, and we can’t wait to dive into the action when the game hits in 2025!

Now, let’s talk about the recent trailer. When Higgs dramatically removed his mask (styled after Lindsay Wagner’s face, by the way), revealing some cool white makeup underneath, fans initially thought of The Joker.
Classic move, right? But hold on, after taking a collective breath and a closer look, it seems most fans are in consensus that the real vibe is more in line with Brandon Lee’s character in The Crow.

For those who haven’t traveled back to 1994 yet, The Crow is this iconic movie where Brandon Lee’s character rises from the dead to play the guitar and, well, let’s just say, take care of some unfinished business.
It’s dark, it’s cool, and it’s got that nostalgic ’90s flair.

Now, why The Crow? Well, unfortunately, The Crow became synonymous with Brandon Lee’s untimely passing during filming. Despite the challenges faced, the movie gained a cult status, and it seems our favorite game director, Hideo Kojima, is taking inspiration from this timeless piece of cinematic history.

So, here’s the lowdown: Higgs is back, he’s channeling The Crow, and we’re here for it! And let’s not forget, Death Stranding 2 is bringing in Yoji Shimomura, a director with credits in Bayonetta and Devil May Cry games, to add some extra spice to the cutscenes. Exciting, right?

Stay tuned for more updates, and mark your calendars for the epic Death Stranding 2 release in 2025!
