iRacing, a well-known name in the world of online racing simulations, has some exciting news for all the racing enthusiasts out there, especially young adult women who love to rev up their virtual engines! They recently announced their acquisition of the exclusive simulation-style console racing game license from NASCAR Team Properties. This means that iRacing is set to dive into the world of console gaming, and their first project based on this newly acquired license is scheduled to hit the market in a couple of years.

In a recent press release, iRacing revealed that the license transfer from Motorsport Games Inc. to iRacing is pending approval from NASCAR Team Properties. Once the green flag is waved for this transfer, iRacing will take the wheel and begin development on the next NASCAR game. Mark your calendars, because as of now, the release window for this exciting game is set for 2025. While iRacing will serve as the game’s publisher, they have yet to announce the developer who will bring this project to life.

In a statement, iRacing President Tony Gardner expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “When we were approached with the option to acquire the license for the simulation-style NASCAR console game, which was the console game and franchise that we were dreaming about doing, it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.” This shows just how passionate iRacing is about delivering an incredible gaming experience to fans of both NASCAR and virtual racing. They are committed to working closely with NASCAR industry stakeholders to ensure that the game exceeds expectations and provides an amazing experience for gamers and NASCAR fans worldwide.

Before this exciting development, the last simulation-style NASCAR game was 2021’s NASCAR 21: Ignition. However, for those looking for a different NASCAR gaming experience, NASCAR Arcade Rush, developed by Team 6 Games Studios, hit the market recently, offering a non-simulation take on the sport. This game is available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.

For a bit of history, 704Games, formerly known as Dusenberry Martin Racing, had a long-standing relationship with NASCAR, starting with the release of NASCAR 15 in 2015. Over the course of eight years, 704Games produced a total of seven games, with six of them available on console and PC, and one exclusively on mobile devices. After 704Games was acquired by Motorsport Games in 2018, the torch was passed, leading us to the exciting announcement we have today from iRacing.

So, young adult women and racing fans of all ages, buckle up and get ready for an exhilarating NASCAR gaming experience coming your way in 2025, courtesy of iRacing! This is a development that promises to add even more excitement to the world of virtual racing and NASCAR fandom. Stay tuned for more updates as this thrilling project continues to take shape.
